Veteran Treatment Courts Save Lives

Judges Richard Kuhn from the Waterford 51st District Count and Kelley Kostin from Independence 52-2 District Court currently co-preside over the North Oakland County Veterans Treatment Court.  

Judge Kostin and now retired Judge Jodi Debbrecht Switalski from Waterford Township were the two original founders of the North Oakland County Veterans Treatment Court in 2012.  Today, both Judge Kuhn and Judge Kostin are steadfast in their belief that Veterans deserve better treatment and care than what has previously been afforded in the criminal justice system. Both Judges have witnessed first hand that Veteran Treatment Courts save lives.
